A: Dues for adult nonmember paddlers are $150 to WYC for Regatta Season (plus
the Hui Wa`a Association fee of $45 and $10 for new paddler identification
cards). WYC members pay only Hui Wa`a fees.
Dues for adult nonmember paddlers are $200 to WYC for Distance Season for

Regatta Season. WYC members pay $35 to cover race entry fees.

Paddle: $80 - $300. This varies, of course, on the number and kind of paddle
you buy. Steering Paddle $100 - $300. If you want to be a steersman, or you are
designated as such, buy a steering paddle. You should not have to "borrow" a
steering paddle every practice. Potluck Food: Depends on what you bring!
Travel to State Championships: (estimated) $80 - $150. This assumes the
championships are on a neighbor island and assumes you are on a
championship crew. This year
the state championship Regatta races will be held on Kauai.
Distance Races: Additional $10 - $50 each race. Distance races are more
expensive because the crew may have to pay an entry fee as well as the cost of
an escort boat. Additional distance practices may also involve escort boat fees.
T-shirts team shirts, shorts, and swimsuits may be arranged for the club and
although costs vary, they run around $30 each.
